Wizard was formed in January 2004 by Kaito and HIRO. At that time they didn't have a drummer and had a session guitarist called Mitsunori and a session bassist, the name of whom I don't know. With this line-up Wizard released their first maxi-single, "Scarmiglione", on the 22th of March and it was distributed at lives for free. Only two months later, on the 24th of May, Wizard released their first mini-album "Fork to Knife no Trip Theater", and on the next day, Saki joined the band and replaced the session bassist.
Exactly one month after "Drenched Girl" was relesed, Wizard released the second 1-song free disc "PS..." and Masumi joined the band. Finally the ideal line-up seemed to have been found. With Kaito in the vocals, HIRO and Masumi in the guitars, Saki in the bass and Shou in the drums, Wizard kept themselves busy and had lives in various places.
However, on the 17th of June, Shou had decided to leave the band. He informed it in the band's diary and announced the reason to be his parents, who wished him to concentrate on school instead of band activities. The information about Shou was wiped from the OHP and very soon, only 9 days later, replaced by information about Wizard's new drummer, Haruka.
Wizard is still keeping themselves busy and are currently having gigs in various places. They have already announced their second oneman, which will be on the 17th of May and is called "LEGEND OF KAMA". On the 24th of May, Wizard will also release their first PV DVD called "Bride of Love", which contains the PVs for the tracks "breath", "Cocktail" and "Trap Lunch". Two months later, on the 29th of July, Wizard will begin their first oneman tour called "ULTIMATE KAMA-VACATION". Kaito has also told in his blog that they have decided to release two new maxi-singles in August/September, called "Materialism" and "Idealism". This far Wizard hasn't been too popular among the overseas fans, but they seem to be getting more and more attention with each day--and no wonder, they are really talented. :)
